The encoder is LAME, licensed under the LGPL and embedded as a dynamic framework that a user can replace, which is how an open-source codec ends up inside a closed-source App Store app without a cloud round trip.
- Bank statement PDF to OFX on the phone (Pro, iOS 26; GnuCash, YNAB, Xero). Every PDF-to-OFX converter on the market is an upload service. Filemorph recognizes the transaction table with Apple's Vision framework and writes OFX 1.02 for GnuCash, YNAB and Xero without the statement touching a server: a concrete personal-finance privacy story.
