iPhone screenshots save as PNG by default, a lossless format built for graphics with sharp edges and flat color — exactly what a screenshot is, and exactly why the file ends up bigger than it needs to be for sharing. This shortcut runs Filemorph's Convert Image action on a screenshot, output set to JPEG at quality 80 (a step down from the 85 default, since screenshots rarely need the extra fidelity), and hands the smaller file to the share sheet. The conversion happens on the phone's own image pipeline — nothing is uploaded to shrink a picture of your own screen. It is part of Filemorph's free tier, so no subscription is required to keep this one running as part of a daily workflow.
